NUJ OSBC Partners Osun Amotekun On Anti-Cultism, Others

The Commandant of Amotekun Corps in Osun, Brigadier General Basheer Adewimbi, has expressed the readiness of the security agency to partner with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, OSBC Chapel, in tackling the multi-various social vices in the country, starting from Osun.

General Adewimbi stated this while receiving the new executive members of the NUJ, OSBC Chapel, on Friday who were on courtesy visit to his office.

Adewimbi commended the journalists with the State owned media conglomerate, for coming up with this lofty idea that would help shape the future of the younger generations of Nigerians, in order to prepare them for the future challenges.

In his remarks, the chairman of the NUJ OSBC Chapel, Comrade Lateef Agboola, who led the team, which had the chairperson of the National Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ in Osun state, Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo in attendance had earlier assured General Adewimbi that the programme would kick off by the last week of January, 2024; after all the necessary arrangements must have been fine tuned.

Members of executives of the NUJ OSBC chapel had earlier identified with another pillar of support for the chapel, Oba Qamarudeen Adeyanju Alawode the fourth, who hosted christian and Muslim Communities of Ororuwo, to an annual Xmas Carol at his place; where clerics from the two religions participated actively in the Carol with enthusiasm and spirit of oneness.

In their separate sermons and remarks, all the Clergymen and Royal fathers at the event urged adherents various religions in the country, to emulate the spirit of love and unity as exhibited by the Olororuwo and his subjects, in order to strengthen harmonious relationship among residents of Osun state in particular and Nigerians at large.
