The Federal constituency tour of the State Executive Committee of the Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State moved to Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal constituency on Monday, with a charge of members to continue to exhibit the spirit of unity and discipline.

Addressing members from the three local governments of the Federal constituency, the Chairman, Omoluabi Progressives, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, emphasised the need for members of the caucus to believe in the spirit of collective responsibility to realise their dreams and aspirations.

He harped on the need for discipline, as it is the bedrock of the group’s aim to reclaim the state in 2026.

Adesiji further challenged members of the Omoluabi Progressives to further attract more members from their localities, stressing that the caucus is keen to return progressive politics in the state to its owners. He also announced the readiness of the leadership to include “people with special needs” in a Committee that is being set up by the State Executive Council of the Omoluabi Progressives.

The ex-council boss said, “We appreciate you immensely for turning out en-masse to receive us. Your commitment and zeal are noted. What we are doing is novel and worth being a part of. We are working assiduously to return the party to its real owners (the progressives). It is something that we must do with discipline, zeal, and focus. That is why we are moving around the state to further orientate ourselves on why we must take the assignment into our own hands with every sense of commitment and responsibility.

“We are here to let you know that the state executive committee is there to serve your interest. As your Chairman, I will rededicate myself to your service. Our communication channels are always open for you to channel your ideas, insights, and opinions. We are most deliberate with being a team with focus, utmost decorum, and sincerity of purpose.

“The concept of Omoluabi is something that is accorded utmost respect and confidence in this part of the world. We must remember that our vision is to return to power which states, how much we must rally support and bring more people on board. Let me assure you that as leaders, we are always doing your bidding. We will safeguard anything that may jeopardise your interest.

“We have worthy achievements and everlasting legacies in Osun to canvass with. Our patron and mentor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is a man of the people. He succeeded a lot in this state due to his people-oriented programmes and policies. That is why he is with us and backing our collective goal. Wherever we go as Omoluabis, we must distinguish ourselves as persons with deep conviction for leadership and passion to emancipate our people,” the Chairman stressed further.

The State Coordinating Team of Omoluabi Progressives had earlier visited the Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Kayode Bibire I. The monarch lauded the efforts of Omoluabi, acknowledging the achievements of Ogbeni Aregbesola in Osun, and prayed for the success of the caucus’ vision.

“Aregbesla is our own. He is a good son to me and all of us. We all saw what he did when he was in Osun. He is a trailblazer and a reformer. That is why we all love and support his interests. By the grace of God, Aregbesola and everything he represents including Omoluabi, will succeed,” Oba Kayode noted.

The Oloye Oba Aro of Ila Orangun land and other speakers at the event encouraged members of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus not to relent in their efforts towards returning the governance of Osun State to the progressives.

Earlier in her remark, the Ila federal constituency coordinator of the caucus, Hon. Adenike Abioye commended members for their unalloyed support and commitment to the Omoluabi ethos.
