The Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, Honourable Najeem Salaam has charged the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to be more vigilant in discharging their duties. Salaam made this known on Wednesday when he received the new NSCDC boss in the state who paid him courtesy visit in his office.
According to him, though Osun is one of the safest states in the country, yet, the security agency must do the needful to ensure the security of lives and properties. In his reaction, the NSCDC boss, Akinwande Aboluwoye solicited the support and assistance of the house to fight crime in the state.
He used the medium to appeal to National Assembly to fast track the effort on NSCDC bill for constitutional backing.
He also pledged to work with other security personnel in the state for efficient job henceforth.
