Following the ruling of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, which sacked Senator Ali Modu Sheriffa the National Chairman of the People Democratic Party, under the leadership of Senator Ahmed Makarif, has taken over the PDP national secretariat in Abuja after the Judgment.

The Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has described the Supreme Court judgment, which declared the committee a s the legal and authentic leadership of the party, on Wednesday, as a victory for democracy, saying that doors of reconciliation remained open in the party.

Abuja – Nigeria’s political landscape was, yesterday, being reshaped with new permutation and perspectives on the 2019 elections, after the Supreme Court resolved the leadership crisis in the People Democratic Party, PDP, in favor of the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee.
