A Frontline political group in Ede, The Mandate group, on Saturday came together to celebrate the 64th birthday of the former governor of the State of Osun and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
The Awolowo Center for Philosophy and Ideology had earlier organized a befitting birthday celebration at an event in Ilesha on Saturday.
The celebration by the mandate group took place in front of the group’s Secretariat in Ede. The leader of the group, Hon. Adebisi Nurein Debo, who was a former member of the state of Osun House of Assembly eulogized the minister describing him as a special being.
He further said the impact of the former governor in the development of the state can never be erased. Claiming it will take years of dedicated efforts to match his achievements in the state.
Other APC stalwarts who attended the occasion also paid glowing tributes to the former Governor, insisting that he remains the leader of the progressive party in the state of Osun.
