Oyewusi appealed to all Imams and other Islamic clerics to consciously remind their followers to pray for peace and harmony in Osun State.

According to him, a peaceful and harmonised state is a state where progress, project, and prosperity reign.

Oyewusi said: “I felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir. As we join our Muslim faithful to mark this auspicious celebration, I urge everyone to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice that Eid-el- Kabir symbolizes.

“I give all glory and praise to Almighty Allah for counting me worthy to join constituents and the Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid to pray for the advancement of Osun State and Nigeria.

“This celebration is another opportunity to express and show the uniqueness of the Islamic faith.

“We must continue to pray for the peace and harmony of Osun State, Nigeria, and the whole world.

“A peaceful society is a place where project, progress, and prosperity reign. I charge all our clerics here to re-emphasize the importance of peaceful coexistence to their followers. This will help the government to achieve all it has set out to do. He said.

“However, I, therefore, ask you all to continue to pray for me to deliver on all my campaign promises and for divine wisdom from Almighty Allah to serve you so well.”
