Ayedaade South Embarks On Massive Rehabilitation Of Roads, Other Projects

The management, Ayedaade South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Orile-Owu, under the leadership of Honourable Quadri Azeez has embarked on series of developmental projects, including massive rehabilitation of roads across the council area.

The Council Chairman, Hon. Quadri Azeez stated this while rolling out the achievements of his administration so far during an interactive session with various stakeholders at the flag off of grading of road in Araromi- Owu, and foundation laying of office complex at the council premises.

Stressing that majority of the people in the LCDA are predominantly farmers, he said that the rehabilitation of roads would guarantee easy transportation of their farm produce to the nearest cities and markets.

This according to him, would go a long way in motivating the residents, mostly farmers to put more efforts in their businesses, once they are rest assured of easy transportation of such products to the nearest towns for marketing.

The council boss disclosed that the gesture would be extended to towns and villages in the council area, like Orile-Owu, Alabameta, Motako, Fowosere, Mokore 1, 2 and 3, Farm settlement, Baba Ijo, Lamuyiwa, Adetunji, Alagbede, Ajegunle, Abimbola among others.

The chairman also promised to embark on various women and youth empowerments, construction of office complex to make official duties easier for career officers, general sanitation in the council area, staff welfare, partitioning of office for the parliamentarians, opening of Housing Scheme for the populace among others.

He then urged the people of the council to support his administration through payment of their taxes and other levies required of them, saying the programmes and projects highlighted for execution would require a lot of money.

Reacting, the Olu of Araromi-Owu, Oba Nathaniel Oyetunji, commended the Chairman, parliamentarians, and the management of the council for struggling to alleviate and eradicate the problems of the people, promising to prevail on the people to perform their obligations to the government.

Present at the programme were; the Olowu Of Orile-Owu, Oba Dauda Akinfalabi; the leader of the council’s parliament, Hon. Ogunfolaju Olusola; Vice-Chairman, Hon. Oyeyemi Sikiru; Deputy leader, Hon. Odubiyi Lawanson; a member of the parliament, Hon. Mustapha Akeeb; traditional rulers; Council Manager, Mr. Yomi Awoniyi; heads of various departments; religious leaders among others
