The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) announced on Friday that only eight teams have met up with their club licencing registration ahead of the December 9th league resumption.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Operating Officer, Mrs Faith Ben-Anuge, only eight clubs namely Bayelsa Queens, Osun Babes, Abia Angels, Royal Queens, Rivers Angels, FC Robo, Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons have met up with all requirement regarding certification for the upcoming NWFL Premiership season.
The memo further stated that only clubs that are able to meet up with all requirements within the specific time limit will be allowed to participate in the upcoming season. Lagos based team FC Robo were the first to meet up with all requirements before Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons joined them last week.
The 2021 NWFL Premiership will kick-off on the 9th of December across all centres in the country, with eight games scheduled for the opening fixture.
