Council Boss Distributes Empowerment Materials, Household Items

The Executive Secretary, Egbedore South Local Council Development Area of the State of Osun, Mr. Adekola Ajao has distributed empowerment materials and household items to some of the residents of the council.

According to a statement by the Information Officer of the council, Mrs. Iyabo Adeniran, the materials distributed include, grinding machines, standing fans, televisions set, power generating sets and some other materials at a groundbreaking ceremony in Ido-Osun, headquarters of the council recently.

Presenting the materials to the selected beneficiaries, the council boss said that the gesture was meant to appreciate the immeasurable support of the people to the ruling party in the state.

According to the council boss, he decided to purchase the distributed items with his monthly salaries in office as he was already used to this kind of gesture when he was the personal assistant to the Governor on Sport Matters.

Noting that the gesture was part of the fulfillment of his promises to the people, he reaffirmed that he would not relent in his efforts to ensure that the people of the council enjoy dividends of democracy.

He therefore enjoined the residents of the council to continue to give their full support to his management team and the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at the state level.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Fawande in his goodwill message appreciated the council boss for the items distributed at this crucial period of economy meltdown.

He appealed to all and sundry, to reciprocate the good gesture by supporting the present administration, both at the local and state levels during the coming election.

The party chairman then charged members of the community to pray for Governor Aregbesola for his efforts on Ido Osun, particularly on the construction of Aje International Market and MKO Abiola International Airport in Ido-Osun, all which he said would boost the economy of the area.
