Youths Allegedly Kill One, Set House Ablaze Over Missing Phone In Makurdi
Some youths in Gyado villa settlement, Benue State have allegedly tortured a staff of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital BSUTH, Makurdi to death for allegedly stealing a handset.
Osun Defender gathered that the incident happened at Gyado villa, Kilometer 4, along Makurdi-Gboko Road.
A case of missing handset was said to have been reported to the who invited the deceased, said to be a suspect.
The youths were reported to have tortured him to death.
Meanwhile, a youth group loyal to the deceased mobilised and razed down the house of the father of the youth leader on Saturday night.
The situation has caused confusion in Gyado villa settlement with residents said to be in fear.
Police sources said investigations had commenced to unravel the brain behind the crisis.
