The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam has described the death of Sir Olu Abiola, Chairman, Uniq F. M, Ilesa as shocking and very touching, particularly now that the elder statesman wealth of wisdom is needed.
A press statement signed by Speaker’s CPS, Mr. Goke Butika, said the vacuum created by this death would hardly be filled, adding that his exemplary life with industry and humanity as core principles would greatly be missed.
He further eulogized the virtues of the deceased, asserting that Sir Abiola through the dint of hardwork had brought jobs, relative comfort and happiness to some homes, as an industrialist of private sector.
Speaker Salaam stressed: “Baba Abiola Olomi was an individual who had changed the world around him through his job creation scheme which kept many people at work, and his elderly advice to politicians who sought his elderly wisdom on good governance is noted. We have just lost a good man whose steps while he lived had become indelible.
Speaker Salaam further expressed condolences on behalf of the state parliament to the deceased family, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, his confidant, his relations and his workers in his business concerns one of which is Uniq F.M, Ilesa where he was the chairman before he answered the call of nature
