Christopher Orji, a senior official at the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) has reportedly committed suicide.
Orji, 59, an Assistant Director of the federal government agency died in Abuja.
He was the agency’s Bioresource Centre coordinator in Langtang, Plateau State.
Orji’s body was found dangling with a rope tied to a ceiling fan at his residence in Federal Housing Authority Estate, Lugbe.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his demise, NABDA sources said.
Orji died on the day he was expected to honour a summons by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
