The Police in Ile Ife, State of Osun have arrested a man identified as a most wanted cultist in the ancient city.
The suspect, Adekunle Lekan a.k.a Scorpion who has been on the wanted list of the Police for the past three years, was arrested yesterday by police operatives.
The Area “A” Commander of the Police Division in the town, Funsho Adegboye disclosed on Tuesday that the suspect had been linked to several cult clashes in Orita Fogo environs and death of many citizens.
He said an axe, a sword and assorted charms were recovered from him and that the Commissioner of Police has ordered that the suspect be transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping and Cultism section for further investigation.
