Police Arraign Two For Stealing In Osun

Osun State Police Command has arraigned two Huasa men before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo for allegedly stealing vehicles belonging to one auto dealer, Taiwo Jimoh

The accused persons included Umaru Musa and Abdulah Muhammed.

The accused persons were arraigned before the court bordering on eight count charges of stealing.


Although the duo pleaded not guilty to all count charges levelled against them on the day of arraignment and the court granted them bail in the sum N5,000,000 with sureties in the like sum after their counsel pleaded for the bail.

Jimoh who narrated his ordeal to the court said that the duo approached his office along Ring road area in Osogbo, Osun state to buy Volkswagen car and made cash payment with 1000 notes which later turn to 100 notes in about an hour after making the payment.

He narrated that he could not explain how the misery happened on his way to deliver the money to the car owner who brought it to his office for sale.

The complainant revealed that the same thing happens to other seven auto dealers after the duo bought vehicle from them at their office, the money changed from 1000 notes to 100 notes

According to the police prosecutor, the offence committed by the duo is contrary to section 383 (1) and punishable under section 390(9)(10A) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. II laws of Osun state, 2007

The case adjourned to 31st, August for further hearing
