He made this known while featuring on a Workers’ Day special edition on a radio current affairs programme in Osogbo on Monday.

According to him, “The nonchalant attitude of the past government caused their downfall.

“They believed that the workers have nothing to offer and the workers showed them that they are ready to support any government that is ready to support them.

“Eighty percent of workers voted against the last government.”

Tinubu also said the promises made by Governor Ademola Adeleke to civil servants was the reason they voted for him at the election.

“When he (Adeleke) wanted to come in, we held a meeting with him and he made promises to us. That was why the people voted for him.

“The workers can influence the result of an election, especially in a civil service state and that is what happened in Osun,” he added.
