Oyetola Restates Commitment To Responsive Governance

Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has restated the commitment of his administration to responsive governance.

Governor Oyetola stated this on Monday while receiving the Thank you tour/Town Hall Meeting Committee’s report in his office.

The Governor appreciated the committee for generating the report through dint of hardworking, the idea of which according to him is borne out of the inclusive participatory governance tenet of his administration, stressing that it is important for public office holders to always ask their people what they need and responses garnered would then be situated to form part of their own programmes and policies.

Mr. Oyetola who stated that some of the demands generated from the thank you tour notably, Ede station to Oke gada road which is ongoing, are already being implemented even before the readiness of the report, appreciated the commitment members for the sacrifice and commitment to the party.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the “Thank You Tour” Committee, Alhaji Rasak Salinsile on behalf of the Committee appreciated the Governor for the opportunity given them to serve the state, stressing that the success story of the visit actually translated into the several victories recorded by the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last General Elections.

Highpoint of the event was the official presentation of the committee’s report to the Governor by the Chairman of the Committee.

Among dignitaries present at the programme were the Deputy Governor, Mr. Benedict Alabi, A member of the National Assembly representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Charles Akinola, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Adeyanju Binuyo and some members of the immediate past State Executive
