Osun NSCDC Cooperative Society Empower Members

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, State of Osun Cooperative society on Friday, empowered its members with Vehicles.

The vehicles include; 1 Toyota Highlander Jeep, 2 Toyota Corolla Cars and 6 Mini buses (Korope).

Speaking during the handing of the car keys to the beneficiaries, the President of the cooperative society, Assistant Commandant Ayodeji Ogundoyin said the empowerment is to reduce the heavy burden of expenses on the one stream of income the members depend on.

He noted that the projects were financed through their internal generated funds, adding that the executive the society have more projects they intend to embark on.

He said, “The main purpose of this programme is to reduce heavy burden of expenses on the only one stream of income many members are depending on through increase in our sources of income.

“I am so happy today to announce the distribution of 2 Toyota Corolla Cars, 1 Toyota Highlander Jeep and 6 mini-buses (Korope) to qualified members.

“All these projects are financed by our internal generated fund. On no account did we use asset financing programme from any financial institution to implement our projects. This shows that if our members are duly committed, there is absolutely nothing we cannot achieve in our society again”.

AC Ogundoyin who said the empowerment is the fourth phase, appealed to beneficiaries to comply with the repayment plan in order to give room for other members to benefit from such project.

“To the beneficiaries of today’s empowerment programme, I say congratulations. I want to appeal to you to comply with the repayment plan. Failure to comply may lead to forfeiture of the ownership of the vehicles to our cooperative society”.
