Osun HoS Urges Town Planners To Uphold Industry Ethics

The State of Osun Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega  Oyebade, has admonished all town planners on the need to ensure strict compliance to the ethics of the profession.

Dr. Oyebade gave the admonition today in his address to members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners who were on sensitization visit to his Office as part of year 2017 World Town Planning Day.

Receiving the Town planners on behalf of the Head of Service, the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mrs Femi Webster-Esho stated that obedience to town planning rules and regulations is a necessity which must be enforced.

Dr. Oyebade advised the people to desist from using quacks, but rather consult registered town planners so that they could obtain necessary clearance and approval for their developmental projects.

Speaking earlier, Chairman, State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Prof. Femi Omisore called on land owners to always ensure the preparation of layout plans before selling the lands.

He also advised individuals to, as a matter of duty get their plans approved before erecting their structures.
