The Osun Omoluabi Progressives Caucus has felicitated one of its leaders, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, on the occasion of his birthday.

Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, described Adeoti as a frontline grassroots politician in the state who commands cult followership.

Adeoti, according to the caucus in a congratulatory statement by its Organising and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Abosede Oluwaseun, has contributed in no small measure to the political development of Osun and thus deserves veneration by all and sundry and in all circumstances.

The political group said: “It is with pride that we have a character like him within the core Omoluabi Progressives politicians in Osun in the present situation whereby horrendous characters have attempted to hijack the enviable progressive political structure in the state.

“Adeoti was elected Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) after the party’s loss in the 2003 governorship election and piloted the Action Congress (AC) and Action Congress of Nigeria (CAN) to victory in 2007 and ultimately to win the most prolonged political legal tussle in 2010.

“He eventually emerged as the Secretary to the State Government and worked harmoniously with Governor Rauf Aregbesola for over seven years until he resigned to pursue his governorship ambition.

“Adeoti is worthy of being called a loyal and worthwhile ally of Ogbeni Aregbesola, no wonder he clinched to his boss in furtherance of his continued journey of pursuing life more abundant and freedom for all for the people of Osun.

“We are certain that Alhaji Adeoti cannot become a turncoat (unlike some others) in the pursuit of good governance and democratic growth.

“It is on this note that we pray for good health and strength for him on this auspicious occasion and wish him many happy returns on his birth anniversary.”
