The State of Osun Ambulance Services Agency, popularly known as O’Ambulance, is set to open a new ambulance point in Iree town, Boripe local government area of the State.
In a release signed by the General Manager of the agency, Dr Olusegun Babatunde, Iree is one of the strategic locations for ambulance points given the fact that the town is densely populated by students and staff of Osun State Polytechnic community.
“This ambulance point will see to swift and prompt emergency medical response and referral services to the people of the town and it’s environs, thereby improving the overall health status of the people.
“This is in line with the state government’s commitment to good health and well being of the entire citizenry in the state.
“Until now, the ambulance point in Iragbiji was the only one covering all the local governments and tributaries in the area. The main goal of the new point is to reduce the response time to every medical emergency across the length and breadth of the State, to nothing more than Five minutes”, the release reads in part.
Babatunde also emphasized that the Ambulance point would complement the medical health centre located within the polytechnic campus and the health centers around the area.
He thereby enjoined the citizens to contact O’Ambulance in the case of emergency medical or referral services
