NDDC Partners ICPC To Set Up Anti-corruption Unit

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has inaugurated the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU).

The unit was inaugurated on Tuesday in the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to a statement by the commission, the unit was established in partnership with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).

Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua, NDDC’s acting managing director, was represented by Prince Alazigha, the commission’s human resource director, at the event. He said the establishment of the anti-corruption unit is to ensure that ethics and values are maintained in the commission.

“In a bid to transform the commission, I set up a committee to work with the ICPC to ensure that ethics and values are maintained in the commission,” the acting MD said.
