Chairman, Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State, Alhaji Shauibu Maje, said the council spent N3.5 million to construct 40 capacity shops cattle market in Suleja town.
Maje who spoke in an interview, on Monday, in Suleja, said the market has several attachments that would accommodate more traders.
He explained that the project was part of the council’s efforts to generate more revenue to boost execution of capital project.
He said that the council provided a bore hole, as well as fenced the entire market to ensure effective security for the traders and their cattle.
The chairman assured that money realised would be used to provide more facilities in the market, and called for greater cooperation from the traders. (NAN)
