The Oyo State Government on Monday confirmed that it has received the nomination letter of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Segun Olayiwola on Monday.
He said, “We have received the letter. We are working on it.”
Osun Defender reports that the kingmakers, led by Otun Olubadan and High Chief Rasidi Ladoja, held a meeting at Oja’ba Palace and nominated Oba Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan.
His name was after the meeting, forwarded to Governor Seyi Makinde in accordance with the 1957 Declaration for final approval.
