A 62-year-old man, Alhaji Basiru Modupe, has been remanded in correctional centre over land dispute.
Modupe was accused of threatening to kill a Community Head, Abdurafiu Adebayo and two others, Abdurasheed Kolawole and Sulaimon Isiaka by arming himself with dangerous weapons over a land matter in Osogbo.
The defendant was also accused of destroying corner piece (boundary marks) and cash crops (cocoa, kolanut, orange) which belong to Adebayo.
According to the charge sheet obtained by OSUN DEFENDER on Wednesday, the accused person and others at large committed the offence on July 19, 2022 at Oloogun area, Kobongbogboe, Osogbo.
The alleged offence, according to the police, contravened Sections 516, 86, 517, and 451 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. II, Laws of Osun State, 2002.
However, the accused person pleaded not guilty to the six-count charge bordering on conspiracy, threat to life and malicious damage levelled against him.
The presiding magistrate, O.A Daramola, ordered that the defendant be remanded in Ilesa Correctional Centre.
The case was adjourned till August 30, 2022 for hearing.
