A two-term former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Friday Sani Makama has been kidnapped.
Makama represented Igalamela Odolu State constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
An unspecified number of persons were also abducted by gunmen alongside the lawmaker from the Hilltop hotel located in Tugun Maga village, in the Zuba area of Abuja.
The gunmen shot sporadically into the air to scare away the security men on guard and carried out the operation.
It is yet to be determined what the motive of the kidnappers is.
