Unknown Gunmen on Monday invaded a community in Kwara State, killed the son of Reke village head in Asa Local Government.
It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the Magaji of Reke’s compound overnight and shot the victim dead.
According to the spokesman, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, who said the attack took place at about 0200hours, throwing the community into panic.
He added that Police officers from Afon Divisional Police headquarters have evacuated the corpse to the hospital for autopsy.
Kwara State Police spokesman, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Ilorin on Monday.
He said an investigation was ongoing to unravel the masterminds of the dastardly act and effect their arrest.
