Govt. Decentralises Pension Audit And Other News In Osun Today

1: The Osun State Government has announced the decentralisation of the ongoing pension audit exercise in the state.

This was coming hours after some pensioners were claimed to have fainted during the auditing exercise in Osogbo, on Monday.

The state government in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Barrister Kolapo Alimi on Tuesday said the auditing team will conduct the screening at the headquarters while mobile calls will also be used to access bedridden pensioners.

The government however directed the pensioner to stop coming to Osogbo.

2: Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, on Tuesday, said the exemplary leadership of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, serves as a soextolled inspiration to a lot of people.

Adeleke extoled the monarch in a message of congratulations to Oba Ogunwusi on his 49th birthday, eulogizing him as a foremost traditional ruler in the promotion of culture and tradition.

The message was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, a copy made available to Osun Defender Tuesday afternoon.

The Governor further described the royal father as a symbolic leader, giving his remarkable efforts towards the preservation of Yoruba ideals and culture.
