Famodun Lauds Oyetola Over Osun Economic Summit

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Osun, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has commended the efforts of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to genuinely improve the economic fortune of the state through the conduct of his three-day economic summit.

Famodun in a statement issued by his Media Consultant, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today disclosed that the totality of the content of the economic summit is an indication that it would be a misnomer to categorise Osun among the poor states in this country as numerous untapped mineral resources abound therein.

The state party chairman observed that the high quality of the resource persons and other participants attracted to the various sessions of the summit also showed that it’s a complete success which final outcome would subsequently be in the best interest of the state.

He hinted that he was particularly dazzled by the conduct of the participants who stayed glued to their seats for several hours to digest the contents of all the lectures.

Famodun also observed that the resource persons who came from all the sectors of the economy were at ease to deliver their papers without let or hinderance as co-operative diverse multi-faceted participants were also showing their concentration through interractive sessions.

The party chairman disclosed that the occasion was one of the most successful outings of Governor Oyetola as he was sighted beaming with smiles and sometimes nodding to give approval to the superlative performance of the resource persons and the participants alike.

According to Famodun, another thing that added glamour to the summit was the attendance by some top traditional rulers in the state, among whom are the Ooni of Ife, the Oluwo of Iwo, the Oba of Iragbiji, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, among others.

He said all these obas added impetus to the conduct of the summit as they all proved their mettle in their desperation to be active partners in the economic advancement of the state through their royal contributions.

In Famodun’s words: “While I am congratulating Governor Oyetola on the successful conduct of the economic summit, I will be failing in my duty as the chairman of the ruling party in this state if I do not extend the same hand of fellowship to the entire people of the state as the summit is indeed an economic breakthrough waiting for realization in a nick of time.

“While I am also thanking the organising committee and the numerous corporate sponsors of the summit, I will implore the participants to be equally as steadfast as they have been through the remaining part of the programme to enable them continue to drink from the fountain of economic knowledge provided by the Oyetola administration”, the party chairman counselled.
