It was a gale of encomiums and praises as Alhaja Iyabo Durodoye celebrated her 60th birthday and retirement from civil service.
The “surprise” birthday cum retirement party was organized by children, friends and well wishers of the celebrator.
Speaking, some of the children of the celebrant said the event was organized in honour of their mother who they described as a bridge builder and a lover of excellence.
They saluted the passion of Alhaja Durodoye which contributed to their successes despite her busy schedule as a civil servant.
The children noted that the surprise birthday party was to appreciate the new retiree for her doggedness and resilience coupled with the attributes of a good mother who gave them the best of training required to excel in life.
The event featured prayers, group photographs and entertainment of guests.
