Don’t Vote For Me Because I Am An Igbo Man, Peter Obi Says As He Visits Ooni

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Tuesday urged Nigerians not to vote for him for being an Igbo man rather they should vote for him because he is competent.

The former Anambra Governor stated this during his visit to Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, in Ile Ife, state of Osun.

Obi who was excited and cheered as he entered the palace stated that Nigeria should see beyond tribalism in choosing their leaders.

Obi has been meeting with political figures and monarchs across Nigeria ahead of next year’s election.

Earlier today, Obi was with a prominent Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state in his Alagbaka quarters, Akure.
