“Doctor Bumbum”, Arrested For Death Of Patient

A popular plastic surgeon Denis Cesar Barros Furtado known as Dr Bumbum has been thrown in jail after a patient died after getting butt injections from him.

He reportedly gave bank manager Lilian Calixto butt injections at his Rio home on Saturday, according to Time. She fell ill during the procedure and Furtado rushed her to the hospital, where she died hours later.

Authorities say Furtado disappeared after he dropped the woman off at the hospital and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest. Authorities also arrested Furtado’s mother, Maria de Fatima Barros, who worked with him.

Police have not released the woman’s exact cause of death. Furtado’s lawyer said in a statement that “any conclusion regarding the death of Lilian Calixto and my client’s responsibility in this fatality is premature.”
