A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has remanded a 36 years old woman, Morakinyo Dolapo over alleged stealing of N2,479,290.00.
Dolapo who is facing a count charge of theft pleaded not guilty to the offence being accused of.
The prosecutor Inspector Adegoke Taiwo told the court that the accused person committed the offence between January 2016 and July 2017.
Taiwo further said that the defendant stole the total sum of N2,479,290 property of Peacom Development Foundation (micro-finance service Ilobu).
He also said that the offence committed contravenes section 390(9)(6) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. II Law of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
The Defence counsel, Mrs Adeyinka Dada prayed the court to grant her client bail in the most liberal terms.
The magistrate Mrs M. A Awodele said the issue of bail shall be determined by the court and ordered the accused person to be remanded in police custody pending the adjournment date.
The case was adjourned to May 25 to be mention at the Chief Magistrate Court Ifon.
