Bricklayer Arraigned For Allegedly Stealing Baby’s Cloth

A 32-year-old bricklayer, Adekunle Saheed was on Thursday arraigned at an Osogbo Magistrate Court in Osun for
allegedly stealing baby’s clothes.
Adekunle was also alleged of stealing money and other household items by the Police prosecutor, Mr. Fagboyinbo Abiodun.
Fagboyinbo told the court that Adekunle committed the offence of attempted felony and stealing on the 30th July and 3rd of September 2017,  around 11.30 am at Onibueja area Ido-Osun, Osogbo.
According to him, the accused broke and entered into the house of One Oladipupo Johnson and stole  DVD player valued N10,000, Baby clothes valued N10,000, dish plates and the sum of N120,000.
Fagboyinbo added that, the accused on the 3rd of September also stole a woman’s cloth valued N15,000.
He noted that, “the offense committed by the accused is contrary to and punishable under section 509, section 411 section 390 (9) and section 390 of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2003.
It was gathered that the accused person is a bricklayer and his parent is living in Ede, Osun State.
The accused having his counsel in court, pleaded not guilty to the charge pressed against him.
The defense counsel, Okobe Najite made an oral bail application for his client, prayed to court to grant bail on most liberal and affordable terms.
The magistrate, Mrs Olowolagba granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She thereby adjourned the case to September 28th, 2017 for mention.
