Armed robbers invaded Iwo community in Osun state, robbing two banks and killing two policemen in the process. The robbery took place close to the Bowen University on Tuesday afternoon.
The gunmen robbed First Bank and Skye Bank branches frequented by students and staff of Bowen University.
Police pursued the gunmen, but was unable to catch them and found only two vehicles they had abandoned.
The robbers are believed to have fled Iwo town and are still at large.
News reports also account that an unidentified student of the University was shot in the leg.
