Army Chief Partners Senate To Tackle Insecurity

The newly appointed Chief of Army Staff has urged the Nigerian Senate to look into the need to properly fund the military to tackle insecurity.

The Army chief stated that the only way to win the war against terrorism and other security challenges facing the country is to inject more funds into the military basically to purchase equipments and weapons as well as to cater for the officers and men of the Nigerian Armed forces.

He expressed that there’s nothing more needed at this challenging time than the supports of the lawmakers, so as for the military to be able to defeat all internal and external aggressors threatening our collective existence as a Nation.

Attahiru said, “To end these threats, the Nigerian army in particular needs equipments and weapons.

“I urge you to consider this call a worthwhile, classify it as a critical call as you legislate and appropriate funds.

“I will be reallying and counting on your supports, so that we can efficiently perform our constitutional roles and defeat all our collective enemies.”

Attahiru thanked them for visiting and promised that the Nigerian Army will not relent in the fight to conquer terrorism and other security challenges.
