The State of Osun Chapter of the Allied People’s Movement has faulted Governor Gboyega Oyetola, that the budget has recorded 83.6 per cent performance.

It was gathered Governor Oyetola while signing the Appropriation Bill in his office, in Osogbo,on Wednesday, announced that the 2021 budget, as at the third quarter of this year, had recorded 83.6 per cent performance.

The APM decried the under-performance of the state annual budget.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo, by the chairman of the party, Mr Wale Adebayo, he carpeted the state government of repeating the same budget year in and year out.

According to him, ‘ You have budget enacted year- in and year out, with bloated figures, repeated and yet not being achieved’.

“We simply bloat the system and usually the government doesn’t prioritize’. The performance of the budget is about 40 per cent”.

The APM noted that the state has not moved from the old practice of heavy recurrent and little amount of capital projections which ultimately lead to poor implementation of the budget.

“Politics aside, the government has failed the state in its entirety. And our believe is in the good people of osun state to show them the exit come next year”, Adebayo said.
