Access Bank, Hacey Health Initiative Work To End Female Genital Mutilation In Nigeria

As the world commemorate the Human Rights day, Hacey Health Initiative in support with Access bank organized a one day capacity building for Adolescent school girls in Osun state, to sensitize them about female genital mutilation which is a violation of a girl child’s right.

Human rights organizations are standards that uphold and defend the dignity of all human beings.

Speaking at the event the Hacey Consultant, Mr. Ayobami Alabi hinted that the event hosted more than 50 Adolescent girls who were thought on the dangers of FGM and the law that criminalized the act in the society.

The representative of Hacey in the state, Mr Ayobami Alabi said there must be a need for frantic effort for each and individuals to report any of such practice to the nearest police station, Amotekun and NSCDC for prosecution.

However, the climax of the event had the girls moved round the community for a door to door outreach/sensitisation to enlighten the people of the community on the dangers of FGM.
