As the governorship election date draws closer in the State of Osun, the people of Ifelodun Boripe Odo-Otin Federal Constituency have given their approval for continued governance of the State by the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Residents of the constituency who trooped out to welcome the Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his tour yesterday, also pledged their support to the party.

The party members also lauded the Governor for his several infrastructural achievements, adding that his administration has incredibly transformed the state.

In his address, Ogbeni Aregbesola urged the party members not to be too relaxed but rather mobilize and remind people how the State was before his administration.

Aregbesola said the State only became peaceful after he became the Governor, adding that previous administrations were marred with violence and general unrest in the State.

The Governor also boasted that his infrastructural developments touched every nook and crannies of the State. Though he admitted not doing it all, Aregbesola however posited that the achievements of his administration surpassed the previous ones.

According to him, “The opposition are only unhappy with our achievements because they couldn’t do half of what we have done in seven and half years. They are the only ones to complain about our world class schools, saying we built the schools like hotels.

“What a shame, the purpose of those schools is to make learning and education more attractive to the students, when there is a conducive environment, the students are more likely to enjoy the whole process of learning.

“The main purpose of this meeting with party members is to sensitize ourselves on the need to start working towards the governorship election, we must work towards the party’s continuity in power, we must stand with the party for the continued development of the State.
