75-Year-Old Barber Lures 8-Year-Old Girl With Mango, Defiles Her
The Anambra State Government has arrested a 75-year-old barber, Pa Nwankwo Nweke, for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old girl in Awka.
The suspect, who confessed to the crime, claimed he was tempted and pleaded for mercy.
The State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo, while frowning at the incident, assured the victim of justice.

The victim’s parents, Mr and Mrs John Ugwuanyi, reported that their daughter went missing while running an errand and was later found to have been taken into the suspect’s house.
The suspect had promised her mango and told her not to answer her name.
The girl was said to have revealed what happened when she finally returned home, and her parents involved security operatives and took her to the hospital.
