A 41-year- old man, Kasimu Saka, was on Wednesday brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan charged with stealing a ram valued at N40, 000.
Saka, whose address was not provided, is being tried for conspiracy and stealing.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Insp. Samad Aliu, Saka and others now at large conspired and stole a ram valued at N40,000, property of Mr Adesola Adeyemi of Fagbemi Street, Ring Road, Ibadan.
He said the offenses were committed on Aug. 21 at 8.00 p.m. at Fagbemi Street.
The offenses contravened Sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi, in her ruling, granted the accused bail in the sum of N40,000 with two sureties in like sum adjourned the case until Oct. 4 for hearing.
