GRAND ALLIANCE FOR TINUBU-SHETTIMA 2023 has congratulated All Progressives Congress and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerian Progressives for the unveiling of Senator Kashim Shettima as the 2023 Vice Presidential Candidate of the APC.
GATS in a statement stated that the group saw the novel unveiling event as a responsible awakening within the APC hierarchy to the need for the Party to attract Nigeria’s younger generation and liberal constituency into its fold.
According to the statement issued by the Director General of GATS
Hon. Kazeem Kolawole RAJI, said Without any doubt the vibrant personality and the noble charisma of Senator Kashim Shettima is a most valuable resource available to the APC at this point in time for attracting Nigerian youths and liberal intellectuals into its ranks; ahead of 2023.
According to him, the novel unveiling signifies a responsible recognition by the APC of the need to openly and honestly tackle the debacle of the Muslim-Muslim ticket uproar that greeted the announcement of Tinubu-Shettima 2023. In politics, perception is reality and conviction. Yesterday, Senator Shettima was unveiled to Nigerians as a Muslim that Christians can trust. A man whose moral and humanistic convictions are deep and long-standing.
“A man who has willingly and lovingly shared his life and resources with an adopted ward of southern Christian extraction. A man that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu chose carefully to meet both the need to win elections and the need to respect Nigerian Christians as major national stakeholders.
“Thirdly and finally, yesterday’s novel unveiling signifies a responsible effort by the APC to rightly and persuasively project its 2023 Presidential Flag-bearer as a trustable lover and patron of the nation’s younger generation and liberal constituency. Clearly, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has spent a huge chunk of his eventful life and considerable resources in the patriotic service of human capital development of Nigerian youths and liberal intellectuals.
“The ‘City Boy’, now grandly and boldly engaging his notable political finale is working the national stage to evoke the wholesale movement of Nigeria from the doldrums of historical misfortune and endemic poverty into its predictable Olympian destiny.
“GATS-2023, with every moral and patriotic conviction hereby calls on all Nigerian stakeholders, youths, students and activists to calmly, intuitively and patriotically interpret *Tinubu-Shettima 2023* in the light of enlightened self-interest.
“Tinubu is the mega colossus and giant on whose shoulders Nigerian stakeholders, youths, students and activists can safely climb to escape the abysmal deficits of people’s repression by government in Nigeria over the last six decades.
