Sevilla coach Vincenzo Montella has expressed confidence that his side can upset Manchester United in Tuesday night’s second-leg round of 16 UEFA Champions League clash at Old Trafford.
Sevilla were forced to a 0-0 draw by United in the first leg at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan last month.
Sevilla with goals draw will advance to the quarter-finals for the very first time.
Looking ahead to the game, Montella stated that reaching the last eight would be a very big achievement for his side.
“This is a massive opportunity for us and important for the history of the club,” Montella told football-espana.net.
“We will be giving everything to try and achieve progression, but we are under no illusions that we will have to suffer for 90 minutes or more.
“It’s a very special occasion for Sevilla, a really important game and we dream of a place in the quarter finals, it’s a big competition and to reach that stage would be momentous for us.
“We have confidence in our own ability and we believe this will be an evenly contested match.”
