The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has urged members of his party, The All Progressives Congress, APC, to propagate and mobilize people ahead the fast approaching Governorship election.

Aregbesola urged the party members to start working again passionately to ensure the party’s victory at the polls.

The Governor gave this charge on a visit to Ijesa South Federal Constituency on Tuesday.

He also implored them not to allow those who wouldn’t work when they get into power, to get elected.

According to him, “Lagos State is the most developed city because of the same party continuity. They are enjoying the dividend of democracy there. It is for our benefit if APC remains power.

“Don’t be deceived, our party is our pride, let’s start working again. Let’s propagate our party and mobilize people. No Government since democracy started, has done what APC has done in Osun and we are not relenting, we are still working.

“There are 11 high schools in the state, 9 has been completed, before the end of our tenure, the remaining two will be completed and that is just for high schools, the middle schools are there, our various programmes are there, the road projects are also there which will all be completed before the end of our tenure as well.”

The Governor thereby charged the people to support whoever becomes the party’s candidate.

“I implore us to stand with whoever becomes the party’s candidate, let’s be more concerned about the party and not the person.” he added.

In his remarks, the party State Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, appreciated the party members for coming out en-masse. He urged them to be united ahead the fast approaching election.

He also implored them to let go of all misunderstandings to ensure the party’s victory at the polls.

The Governor also paid a courtesy visit to the Owa Obokun of Ijesa land, Oba Dr. Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II.
