Oyetola Has All It Takes To Take Osun To The Promised Land – Alaba Lawson

“Governor Gboyega Oyetola has all it takes to take the State of Osun to the enviable promised land, given his great credentials, smart initiatives and wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors”.

The National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Iyalode Alaba Lawson stated this on Wednesday while leading an array of NACCIMA Executives on a courtesy call to the Governor at the Government House in Osogbo, the state capital.

Iyalode Lawson who is equally the President of the West African Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture on behalf of the council and the entire members of NACCIMA congratulated Governor Oyetola on his desired victory at the September 2018 Gubernatorial Election, assuring the good people of Osun that Governor Gboyega Oyetola is focused, disciplined, principled and has the capacity to harness the potentials of the state to take the state to the next level.

Chief Mrs. Lawson who went into explaining the origin, structure and operations of NACCIMA, stressing that “we are into cities, which comes together to form an alliance of council, from the alliance of council at the state level to regional example of which is the Oodua Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture and then to the National which is NACCIMA, presented the OSUNCCIMA executives to the Governor, assuring him to see them as partners who are ready to work and support his administration, enjoining him to feel free to incorporate any of them in his programmes.

She told the Governor that the leadership of NACCIMA were in the state to resuscitate OSUNCCIMA and inaugurate its Executives after about 15years of being moribund, soliciting for every support needed from the State Government of Osun for OSUNCCIMA to be and remain very successful.

Chief Mrs. Lawson said, as the State of Osun begins to explore its mining potentials, NACCIMA is ready to be of great assistance in this regard and even other areas of endeavour.

In his response at the event, the Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola welcomed the President of NACCIMA, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, the Director General, Ambassador Ayoola Olukanni and other top echelon of NACCIMA to the Land of Virtue.

Represented by his deputy, Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Governor Oyetola commended NACCIMA for taking up the challenge of resuscitating OSUNCCIMA after 15 years of being inactive, assuring the new executives of lots of collaborations with a view to taking the state to an enviable height.

Governor Oyetola solicited for the support of NACCIMA in the areas of investment opportunities, stressing that Osun is a place to be when it comes to investment.

The Governor told the visiting NACCIMA delegation that his administration is committed to the industrial development of the State of Osun, listing numerous areas of strength such as Security, having been rated as one of the most peaceful states in the country by the security agencies themselves, Tourism, power, Osun is in a class of its own when it comes to power supply with 18hours assurance of electricity daily, enjoining NACCIMA to assist in selling the state with a view to attracting foreign direct investments to the State of Osun.

Highpoint of the event was the present ion of gifts by Chief Mrs. Alaba Lawson on behalf of NACCIMA to Governor Gboyega Oyetola, with the Governor equally doing same to NACCIMA through Chief Lawson, in line with the practice of the State Government of Osun which appreciates important visitors, on behalf of Government and the good people of the Land of Virtue.
