The State of Osun through the Osun Internal Revenue Service has set a conducive ground for the smooth and peaceful deliberation for a three day meeting of the Joint Tax Board, the 140th edition of its kinds.
The meeting is slated to hold between Sunday 25th and Tuesday 27th of March with the attendance of all Chairmen, Internal Revenue Service across the States of the federation as well as other relevant tax authorities.
According to the acting Chairman/CEO Osun Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Bicci Alli, this year’s meeting focuses on the theme,” Deepening Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) beyond Personal Income Tax (PIT)”.
This he said is in line with government’s desire across the States of the federation to widen their tax net using Board of Internal Revenue across the States as impetus to have a robust and drastic improvement on Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of States without increasing tax levy on tax payers whatsoever.
While making analysis on the schedules for the program, Mr. Bicci Alli said thus: arrival and accreditation of members takes place Sunday 25th followed by the opening ceremony with a courtesy call on the Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola on Monday 26th after which lecture would be delivered on Tuesday 27th accordingly at Aurora Event Conference Centre, Osogbo on the theme: Deepening Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) beyond Personal Income Tax (PIT)”
