Osun Deputy Governor Commends SUBEB, Urges Students On Excursion

The Deputy Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi has commended the management team of the State of Osun Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) headed by renowned educationist, Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole over the board’s effort to give the students of the state an all inclusive education system laced with exposure.

The Deputy Governor started this at the Ibadan Airport where he ran into the students of the State of Osun who were on excursion to the Airport for sight seeing.

Mr Alabi enjoined the pupils to make good use of the knowledge gathered during the excursion to build their future.

He said they should look forward to having interest in various career opportunities they saw during the excursion to become professionals like Marine Engineers, Pilots, Medical Doctors, Lawyers and so on in order to become a useful citizen for Osun and Nigeria in future.

Earlier in her welcome speech, the Director Middle School Affairs, who lead the team on the excursion, Mrs Arinola Oladimeji thanked the Deputy Governor for identifying with pupils commending Osun SUBEB under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole for the golden opportunity to embark on such a wonderful excursion which had about one thousand, three hundred (1,300) Osun School Pupils visit Asa Dam, Ilorin International Airport, Asejire Dam and Ibadan Airport respectively.

She advised the pupils to make judicious use of the knowledge and experience gathered during the excursion while asking parents to give support to their children to go on excursion whenever the need arises because of its numerous benefits.

A major highlight of the event saw the Deputy Governor calling some of the pupils to share their experience of the excursion among whom was Abiola Reinhand Ayotomiwa of grade 9, Local Authority Middle School, Isokun Ilesa as well as taking photographs.
