A front-line community leader in the state of Osun, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole has conveyed his best wishes to all Christians in the State and Nigeria at large on this year’s celebration of Christmas which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, a perfect definition of selflessness and sacrifice.
Kolawole made this known in a press statement released today in Osogbo, the state capital.
A topnotch educationist, Kolawole said, “It’s important to note that Christmas is an annual celebration of the remembrance of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. This celebration is a call to remember the selflessness, love and honour as epitomized by Jesus Himself”.
He however enjoined Christian faithful and Nigerians at large, to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and sacrificial living, just as he tasked Christians to remember Nigeria in their prayers.
The Osun community leader added that since Jesus Christ was a teacher, all lovers of peace and progress should not leave teaching to professionals alone but should teach the youths all the positive attributes epitomized by the prophet at all times.
Kolawole concluded by admonishing all
motorists to drive carefully, as he advised that all should be done modestly and decently at this festive period and beyond.
