Woman Stabs Lover Dead Over Whatsapp Chat

Hannah Osazuwa has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her lover Tomide Akintoye to death in Lagos. The incident occurred around 8:00am at Gowon Estate in Egbeda.

The lovebirds returned from an outing where Osazuwa, who was treated to a lavish weekend in celebration of her birthday, had allegedly stabbed Akintoye, alias Life of Tomson, with a pair of scissors.

According to a source, the suspect, a resident of Idimu, was cutting her hair with the scissors when an argument ensued between the duo. “They had a nice weekend together. They were lovers and the guy celebrated the girl’s birthday. But early this morning, they had a disagreement. The girl was using the scissors when they started fighting.

“The guy was using his hand to beat her but she used the scissors and stabbed him on the chest. I heard Osazuwa caught her boyfriend chatting with another girl on Whatsapp, which led her to believe he was cheating on her. One thing led to another, they started arguing, she pulled out a scissors and stabbed him close to the heart. He bled internally, and died on the spot,” said the source.

Family and friends of the deceased took to social media yesterday to call out the suspect, demanding justice for Akintoye. When contacted, spokesman for the Lagos State police command, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the case would be transferred to the Homicide Department for further action.
