We’re Still Fully In TOP – APC Members In Orolu

Our Reporter

MEMBERS of The Osun Progressives, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orolu Local Government of the State of Osun have denied joining the IleriOluwa faction of the party, saying that they were still committed to TOP ideals.

According to the TOP members who came in their hundreds to attend the weekly meeting of the caucus at Oranmiyan House, Osogbo, yesterday, the report that they have joined IleriOluwa faction and adopted Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is a deliberate misinformation to deceive members of the public.

Leading the members, the Chairman of TOP in the local government, Mr Munirudeen Adeagbo, said at no time did they hold meeting individually or jointly to dump The Osun Progressives for IleriOluwa.

Adeagbo equally stated that the TOP members in the local government were not working with or for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

He said: “We want to inform everybody here that we are still in TOP. It is not true that we have left TOP and join IleriOluwa. The people spreading that misinformation are doing that to deceive members of the public. We are not also working for or with PDP. We are committed to progressive ideals.”
