The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring that the state security network is built around all Kwarans at whatever cost.
The state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq stated this during the foundation laying for the divisional police offices at Oro-Ago and Omugo in Ifelodun local government area of the state last week.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Mr.Kayode Alabi pointed out that the security of lives and property is everyone’s business, adding that the police posts, will guarantee a safer environment.
He admonished residents of both communities to join hands with the state government and security forces to ensure that insecurity is a thing of the past in the communities.
‘Let me assure you all that the government of AbdulRazaq is prepared to do all within its capacity to ensure the protection of lives and property of all Kwarans, not minding the cost.” The Governor noted that the recent air raid of bandits by members of the Air force of the entire land border in Oro-Ago is a signature of his government’s commitment to the security of the people.
He lauded the traditional rulers and indigenes of both communities for the patriotic initiatives adding that construction of other police posts in Oyatedo, Oke-Daba and Irabon/Ajegunle Communities will follow in due course.
Earlier, the Oloro of Oro-Ago, Oba Johnson Dada stated that the initiative will never be forgotten in the history of both communities solicited the support of all sons and daughters of the communities for the completion of the project.
